How to get muscle definition starting with a solid bulk base?
Alright, so basically, I’ve been doing anabolic training for like the last 12 months. Im big, heavy and strong. But I want to look better. Now with my basic knowledge, I’d quit eating chocolates and fatty foods, quit drinking alcohol and coke etc. I’d do more cardio (after a workout) and I’d probably entail my workouts to inlude more endurance weight lifting rather than bulk.
So what I’m asking is, is there anything that I’m missing?
I currently mix a creatine drink for pre-intra workout, and take a protein shake afterwards. Are there any other supplements I should be aware of to basically not gain weight, but lose it, without the loss of lean muscle mass?
Thanks
To be honest you know everything you will need to know. The cardiovascular workouts are going to be extremely important. Make sure you do at least thirty minutes per day or every other day with a more intense workout. In order to not lose too much of your muscle I would keep your protein intake up to .8 grams for every pound you weigh. I would normally advise at least one gram per pound, but your goal is to lose a little weight in order to get more definition.
I used to lift heavy weights, but then started lifting smaller weights with more reps in order to get toned. I found that 12 reps worked the best for me, but I was also swimming everyday so you may want to figure out what works best for you.
Remember to keep up your healthy diet as well! Good luck!
