Stop Watch
Can I fight a speeding ticket the local cop issued by clocking me with a stop watch?
He didn’t use radar or follow me long enough. He used a stop watch. Is this accurate? Because he wrote a very accurate number on my ticket.
Can I fight this?

I don’t know of any agencies in my area that use that method but I have heard of it before. If you think about it a simple math equation they measure out a distance on the road, and then time how long it takes for the vehicle to travel the distance, from that you can calculate speed. It is so simple that I don’t know that there would be any good defense as long as the officer can testify that he witnessed your travel the measured distance and he timed it.
