Pedometer Fat
best ways to lose 50 lbs by april or may??
any hints, helpful advice, on how i can lose 50 lbs by april? i am on a very low calorie diet (1200 calories a day) and it just seems like it isn’t coming off as quickly as i had hoped. i only drink water, eat healthy food such as grilled chicken/fish and nothing with more than 30% calories from fat. i do walk every day for about 30 minutes pushing my daughter in the stroller (not easy to go to the gym, i live on a military base, don’t really know anyone and all my family is 700+ miles away…. so working out is pretty difficult, only able to do so WITH my daughter who is only a few months old). is it true or good advice that i get a pedometer and try to get 10,000 steps a day? would that help me reach my goal? thanks everyone.
Good for you for trying to get healthier!
You say you’re eating very few calories a day. It’s important to not eat too few, or your body will hold on to fat because it goes into survival mode. The number of calories you need to lose weight is your weight times 7.
Walking DOES help you lose weight, because I lost tons by eating healthier, cutting out soda and walking every day. Strength training is also a great way to shape up. You can find great exercises on www.prevention.com. When you build that muscle it continues to burn calories even when you’re resting.
50 pounds by April is a completely achievable goal. Good luck!
