Handle Bar
How can I convert my handle bars on my Trek 7300 to a flat handle bar similar to a road bike for long rides?
And if so how?
I’ve got a bike similar to yours, a Trek 7100fx model.
Maybe try what I did to mine.
Try lowering & changing the angle of the handlebars so they become flatter. All you need will be a few allen keys (or a multi-tool set).
And maybe change over the grip, so you’ll be able to put on some bar-ends. I’m partial to the curvy ones, because it gives you more hand positions.
Or even consider getting trekking bars. I’ve seen these on some hybrid-type bikes & they look really comfy.
Definitely worth considering.
Go down to you nearest bike shop, and have a chat with them. They will be able to tell you, what will suit your needs best.
