I’m dieting, but have a very carb heavy diet?

I’m a pescatarian (I eat fish, but not mammals or birds), I have a mostly vegetarian diet and eat fish every other week. The problem is that I eat a predominantly carbohydrates based diet and I don’t know how to avoid this. I’m using an online calorie counter and analyser to help me keep track of this. Can anyone suggest what to do?
*I eat fish every other day. Not week!
I’m trying to lose about 15lbs.
A couple of months for weight loss with a BMR of 1661.

consuming a high amount of carbohydrates while trying to reduce body fat is like using gasoline to put out a fire, it’s totally counter productive to the fat loss process. only competitive athletes need high carbohydrates. the brain only needs 5 grams of glucose per hour to function properly which equates to the minimum of 120 grams of carbs daily. a high carbohydrate diet with a low level of daily activity can only result in increased body fat stores over time. at rest the primary energy source used by muscle tissue are free fatty acids.

you need to be substituting carbohydrates for lean proteins. when the body is getting sufficient calories but carbs are replaced for proteins it forces the body to use a higher amount of free fatty acids for energy. the body does this because proteins are the least efficient energy source out of the 3 macronutrients (proteins, carbs and fats). if you eat fish then you can eat any other type of seafood so there are lots of low calorie proteins that you can eat.
