Burst Gym
Gym owner&another member burst out laughing when I left gym yesterday, shall I go back or to a different gym?
Yesterday, as soon as I was out the door of the gym I’ve been going to, the owner and another member [who seem to know each other] burst out laughing. What should I do? Go back and keep on running? Or try a different gym? I only want to use the equipment, not make friends! But I don’t want to be anywhere that makes me feel uncomfortable AND makes me pay for the privilege. Help please

Well I’m 8 stone [112lb] and just want to run and tone up some more. The gym is small and everyone seems to know each other, probably best to try somewhere larger with less chance of being laughed at, shame, as this gym’s just around the corner from my home.
I’m 5’6, and work my body quite hard, I joined the gym for harder work, anyway I’ve emailed now and cancelled my membership. And to anyone who says I’m being paranoid, maybe I am, but I don’t think so, not this time at least.
Well I think its good you canceled your membership.
You dont want to go anywhere where you feel uncomfortable because that just ruins your self esteem.
They may have been laughing at something else, but you dont know that for sure….so why question it and be “paranoid” about it, ya know?
