Unlike some other people, I’m going to be honest with you. I am on a fast cable modem connection, and after a full minute your website still had not completely loaded. I’m suspecting the main culprit for this may be the large file size of your images.
Keep in mind that if your home page does not load within 15 seconds on a fast cable connection, most people will leave (unless it’s porn) , and if it takes even 30 seconds on a 56k dialup connection, most people have already given up.
