Being Overweight And Uncomfortable At The Gym

There are a lot of people that are overweight and the gym makes them feel uncomfortable. Here is a question from one of those readers:

First off my name is Jeff and I live in “city”, “state” (privacy). I have a goal of wanting to lose AT LEAST 65lbs and put on a nice amount of muscle before March 1st of 2008. I’ve seen people who have lost almost 100lbs in only 2 months more time. My only problem is I am not confident enough to go to the gym yet. It’s just something I don’t want to do until I start to lose more weight. I’m sure you have heard of it before but I’m just the type of person, that with the way I look and feel right now, that I become embarrassed and think everyone is looking at me even though they aren’t, and then I become insanely uncomfortable.

Now I have some knowledge of working out with my dad being a powerlifter and I used to go to the gym with a trainer about 3 years back. I have a bench with a pulley bar to work my biceps and triceps and what not and obviously I can do bench presses and what not on it and I have a set of weights.

Fat to FitSo basically my question is, is it possible to achieve my goal from inside my house by eating great, running every morning, and working out? I would love to start your program and get everything I need to know, and I have been watching alot of your videos on youtube so I was just curious if you could tell me if it was possible and if your program had something in there for me to where I could do this all at home with everything I have, and hopefully it my mark, and more.

Please let me know what you would recommend and how you would go about doing this, and what sort of plans you would have for this situation.

Thanks,
Jeff

Well Jeff, you are in a perfect situation to achieve your goals. You dont need to feel uncomfortable in order to get there either. Your goal of 65 lbs is right on the money. It’s a worthy goal, not so overly adventurous that its almost impossible, but you will have to do everything perfect to achieve it. You will do it though…

You have support. Your father being a powerlifter and all, he should understand and support what you want to do with your weight loss. If I was him, I would be proud that my son wanted to better himself by losing some weight and getting healthy and give him all the help I could.

You have equipment! The Fat To Fit Program was designed with a couple program options. Both for people with little to no equipment and those that like to lift the iron. Since you have both options available to you, you are more than all set.

The program also will show you how to eat and keep your motivation up while you go through the process of losing weight. You asked me what my plans would be for you in your situation. My answer is that all you need to do is follow the program with all your heart and you will not be disappointed.

YOU WANT IT! The bottom line is that you want to lose the weight, you know what it is going to take and you have all the tools at your disposal. The only thing left to say is “Get to it Jeff!” I’ll see you in a couple months in that body you have always wanted.

Email me as you go through the program if you run into any bumps or have any questions.
