Hi... im 13 and 3/4 years old and im 93 pounds and im 5'5. Most people at this age are like 120+. I'm average height but not weight. One of the main reasons for this is i'm pretty athletic. I got my black-belt in Taekwon-do and have recently started Brazilian Jiu-jitsu. I was on the basketball team and badminton team this year. 3 times a week I weight train and run three miles on my tredmill with high incline. I just dont know what to do... its not like im that scrawny or weak.. in fact i'm way stronger than those people who weigh like 140 poounds. I eat alot and I eat healthy but yeah can somebody just help me?

Open Question: Diet Plan for a 16 Year-Old - How does this sound?
I am 16 years old, weigh just about 140 pounds & 5 ft 3. I small, but noticeable man boobs and although 140 doesn't seem like too much, the weight is noticeable on me. I have a 34 inch waist. I am thinking about doing this; Just to get started, THE SPECIAL K DIET (for 2 weeks). This pretty much means eating only special k cereal for 2 weeks. During this time, I will be sure to be excercising (running on a tredmill along w/ sit-ups, push-ups & a curl bar). I will take vitamins to give me anything I'm missing (such as vitamins, etc). By eating only special k for 2 weeks for my meals (and the serving size only w/skim milk), my stomach will get used to not eating as much as I am now & afterword it won't take as much to fill me). After that, I will continue to do excercises & eat only healthy foods (completely avoiding sodas, fast food, microwave foods, etc). My stomach by this time will have shrunk (inner stomach) so it won't take much to fill me. WILL 3 MONTHS ON THIS PLAN

every day i power walk on a tredmill for about an hour and a half and about twice a week i also bike about 4 miles and i eat a high fiber low fat cereal with banana for breatfeast and for lunch i try to eat as healthy as possible (sometimes its hard cause of the small selection at school) and for dinner i eat a green vegetable and a usally a low fat meat high in protein and then at about 8 i have an apple then i go to bed around 8:45 any tips??

Ok i will not lie, i am overweight, i'm 5"9 and 236 pounds(plz dont make fun of me) But i went to my friends house to play GTA 4, and am now addicted, u hear that, i jack 2 cars, beat up a hot dog vender and get addicted. Anyway, i asked my mom instead of waiting till next report card if i loose a certain number of pounds by next week can i play and she said yes. i need to loose 7 pounds so i need to be 229 by next week, trying to aim for saturday. How can i loose 7 pounds in one week, i can eat healty no prob there, but i dont like excercise to much. I am 23 and i'm 5"3 1/2... i weigh about 195.. now I know im way over weight... but when you look at me its not that im fat, its jsut i'm chunky i have alot of muscle under the flab... so everyday I'm like thats it im not eating.. then when the tiem comes i eat n i say it again for the next day.... I've been reading that you shouldn't use it at the gym? I have an arm band made of wet suit material so it's not getting it we that worries me, but I do run/jog on the tredmill. I hear weight lifting is ok, but any running or jogging is not a good idea? I've had the 80gb classic for 5 months now and haven't had any issues with it, was just wondering if anyone has? I workout in a gym so I have everything there is, I'd like to be smaller by June 11th for vacation. How much cardio do I need to do? And for how long? I've been eating about 1000-1200 calories per day, all healthy stuff..drink plenty of water, and unsweetened juice like grapefruit and green tea. I work out about 30-45 mins per day, everyday, walk/run tredmill, hip hop abs and turbo jam, crunches too...and i haven't lost any weight. This has been going on for 7 days now. i drink alot of water, would that be giving me more water weight? Any other suggestions?

I started 2 ,4,6,8 today.. I did 2 hours on the tredmill , one hour hour on stationary bike and a few weights and squats. I was planning on doing 3 more hours of cardio but i'm so tierd as i've only had an apple so far.. and i dont think i can exercise anymore, so i wont have anything else today. I want to weight at least 180 by the mid. of August for college! I weigh around 250, I think. I recently a few month ago lost 25 lbs. in a month, because I was dedicated to losing it, but I got so busy, I just started blowing my exercises off and eating bad. Well, I'm starting up again! I have a tredmill and since it will be summer and I am usually home, I plan on losing it all this summer! Eat breakfast. (cereal, special k bar, whole wheat toast, etc.?) 11:00- snack. 1:00- whole wheat turkey sandwich. 3:00-snack 5:00-chicken or fish w/ fruit and corn. hate most veggies. 7:00-bowl of popcorn or something. and walk/run on the tredmill 2 hour everyday! FOUR 30 min. i was debating on weightlifting, since im 6 foot and 250, ill look like a wrestler, but i know it help you looe weight faster! so, what are some "at home" training??? THANKS?

I dont know if im eating the right stuff & doingthe right workout for my body and goals. Im 5'1 and 140 lbs, goals are 115-120 lbs. Im counting cals but im trying to do the "in moderation thing" cuz i just cant cut out chocolate entirely or I end up binging, i drink tons of water, i never drink soda or anything else. I have desk job so im not active unless i go to the gym (i usually spin) or walk on the tredmill (i have one at hm) can anyone suggest a regiment i can follow that maybe can get me on better track, i just don t think the plan i have for myself is going to do the trick since i am not a professional at this...help. Okay, so bassically I lost about 70 pounds a couple months ago, and workout daily. But I still have an urge to not do much and sit on my butt. And I often overeat again and now im starting to exclude my excercise. Which is not good, I figured out the problem was because losing weight doesn't just mean losing it. It means keeping it off as well. And in order to do this I must change my lifestyle. Ive thrown all my video games aside. Unplugged my television and even moved a bunch of my furnature around just to make me feel like im starting a new life. As weird as that may sound. Ive pulled my bike out of the garage and drug my tredmill into the living room to. I was told the trick is to replace bad habbits with good habbits. meaning you can be enjoying life still by doing something else. But I was also told its HARD to change your lifestyle because its your life. But I believe I can do it! Does anybody know of anything else I should add to my new HEALTHY lifestyle?? suggestions??

I'm 45-50 lbs over weight. For the past 3 weeks I've been walking fast pace and up hill on the tredmill for an hour =3.11 miles 3-5 days per week. Is this to much or is it ok. should i be doing more? will my body "shut down" what does that mean?

I walk 3 to 4 times a day. In minutes it's 60, 30, 30 at a pace of 3.5 on a tredmill. Weight is at 141 with a small fame at 5 ft. 1inch. I eat 1200 cals a day. I watch my intake and drink a lot of water. I'm 43 years and I know my metabolism is slow but this slow?? I'm sweating with each excercise so I know I'm pushing my body or at least I think I am. I have a protein shake in the morning. Lunch would consists of something like sushi or a sandwich and the common dinner is salad, chicken or fish, 1/2 baked potato no butter. This would be my second week into this exercise regimen. I've lost 7 pounds so far but now for 3 days my weight does not change. I'm not drinking sodas or coffee. I'm eating fruits for sugar. Fortunately I don't have any skin sags. I have muscle underneath as I've allways been athletic when younger. I've got 30 lbs I want to loose. I eat if Im hungry but I'm being careful of what I eat and the quantities. I don't feel faint, nor do I feel loss of energy. Yes, I probably need to do a clense to get rid of all the toxins. I'm going to look into this more since I've never done a clense before. Rice, breads and potatoes are some of my favorite things :( ... cut out the protein shakes and stick to real food I can do. Will tackle the weight training to add/tone muscle, this may help in burning the cals. I'm fighting against my body who knows better on how to sustain me. I need to get smarter in my eating habits, timing and vary my exercises. Let's see what happens. Thank you all for your help and advice. I understand the BMI now. My BMI is currently at 26.63.
